A privately published guide, independent of the Department, not advice, and explicit about which figures are published and which are not.
What this site is
A privately published guide to Vanuatu residence visas and permanent residence: the categories, what each requires, what they cost and what keeps them alive.
Independent of the authorities
Nothing here originates with the Government of Vanuatu. This is not the Department of Immigration and Passport Services, not the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority, not the Citizenship Office or Commission, and holds no designation from any of them.
Description rather than advice
Which category fits you, whether your income qualifies and whether a lease meets the threshold depend on documents this site has not seen. Nothing here creates a professional relationship or replaces an adviser who knows your circumstances.
Where figures come from — and where they stop
Income thresholds, leasehold values and visa fees quoted here are those published by the Department of Immigration. For the permanent residence investor subclasses the Department publishes no amounts, no validity period and no renewal rules, and this site therefore states none. Figures for those subclasses circulating elsewhere are not sourced to the Department and should be verified with it directly.
No outcome is promised
Residence is granted by the Department at its discretion and citizenship by the Citizenship Commission at its own. Nobody outside either can assure an outcome, fix a date, or recover fees for work already undertaken.
Information ages
Immigration rules, thresholds and fees are revised by the bodies that set them. What is here was checked against official sources on the date shown with each page and may have moved since.
Residence is conditional
A residence visa depends on its qualifying basis continuing to exist. Income falling below a threshold, employment ending, a lease disposed of or an investment approval lapsing removes that basis. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting a grant is permanent or unconditional.
Land and investment
Land in Vanuatu is held by custom owners and taken on leasehold rather than owned outright by foreigners. Any acquisition warrants independent local legal advice before funds move. Nothing here constitutes a recommendation to acquire any property or investment.
Links
Official sources are linked so statements can be verified at origin; their content and availability are not within our control.
Enquiries and liability
An enquiry binds neither party. Material is provided as it stands, and so far as the law permits liability for loss arising from reliance on it is excluded.
